Ready to live the Legend as Banquet Sales Intern?

During this internship you support our Banqueting Sales department. Meeting & Event guests are given the opportunity to share their vision with us, which then allows you to work with the team to create a memorable event. You come in contact with various facets within Banqueting Sales, including administration, planning, processing of reservations and keeping reports. During this internship you will get the chance to experience the role of Banqueting Sales in a five-star deluxe environment!

Main tasks:

• Contact person for guests interested in Meetings & Events
• Responsible for the correct administration of Meetings & Events
• Planning of your own Meeting & Events
• Contact person in hotel for questions regarding Meetings & Events
• Presenting the hotel and meeting rooms to potential guests

What do we offer?

Not only during, but also after your internship, we see possibilities and career opportunities. You also have the possibility to do various cross trainings in different departments to broaden your hotel knowledge.

The internship allowance is €600 gross per month, based on 38 hours per week. Besides this, you also have the possibility to receive travel allowance. Every day you can enjoy a meal (for free) in our staff canteen.

Who are we?

Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam offers five-star deluxe service in a unique Amsterdam historical ambience with French elegance. Our hotel is part of the French hotel chain Accor.

We are located in the former City Hall of Amsterdam and we offer 177 hotel rooms of which 52 are suites. The Grand also features 19 Meeting rooms, an urban Spa, a Garden Bistro and fine dining restaurant; Bridges.

Your profile:

• You are passionate about the luxury hotel industry.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in Dutch.
• Enrolled in a Hospitality Management study.
• You can work well individually, but also in a team.
• You pay attention to details and go the extra mile to achieve the best results.
