As the Assistant Bistro Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operations of Garden Bistro Oriole. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team while supporting the Bistro Manager in delivering the highest standards of service. Your leadership, hospitality expertise, and attention to detail will ensure unforgettable guest experiences in one of Amsterdam's most beautiful garden setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily bistro operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Support the recruitment process for new team members and assist in onboarding
• Guide, train, and coach the team, including trainees, to foster growth and development
• Manage scheduling and hour administration to ensure effective team planning
• Lead the bar team and ensure consistency in quality and service
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen to deliver innovative and seasonal menu offerings
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all hygiene and safety standards are met
• Create a positive and inspiring work environment focused on guest satisfaction and team performance

What you will bring to the role

• Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach and a genuine interest in people development
• Experience with staff planning and basic administrative tasks such as scheduling and hour registration
• A strong passion for food and beverage, and knowledge of the latest industry trends
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
• A proactive and guest-oriented mindset, with the ability to stay composed under pressure
