Job description

In the Cost Control department of The Grand, all purchasing and control is done for the various departments of the hotel. This includes checking purchases, meetings with managers and keeping the purchase administration up to date. You may also support the manager in the preliminary phase of processing invoices and issuing the monthly financial report. Also as an intern, it is important to use your creative and networking skills when looking for new suppliers and for maintaining the current contracts with suppliers.

We offer interns of The Grand responsibility and personal coaching to support you in your development. During your internship you can also follow various cross training courses which will allow you to see other departments of the hotel and broaden your knowledge about hotels. The Grand offers growth opportunities for all the trainees. A large amount of trainees get a job offer after their traineeship. The internship fee is €600 gross. It is also possible that you will receive a travel allowance and that you can use our staff restaurant every day free of charge.

The international hotel is part of the Accor Hospitality Netherlands Group. Housed in the former town hall of Amsterdam, The Grand offers 179 rooms, of which 52 are suites. The Grand also features 19 InspiredMeeting rooms, an urban spa, an Garden Bistro and a fine dining restaurant, Bridges.

• You are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
